PURPOSE:To prevent small flapping of a disk which is rotating, and to eliminate the difference between modulation performance and resolution performance between both heads by shifting and supporting a pair of magnetic heads of the same shape, in the diameter direction of the disk. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head 11a of a side A side is formed in the same shape as a magnetic head 11b of a side B side, and both heads are opposed so as to be shifted by 180 deg.. Also, the heads are supported by shifting the positions from each other so that the head 11b projected from the supporting surface of the disk in the diameter direction of the disk is shifted in the outside peripheral direction of the disk. In this way, in the vicinity of the inside end part of the contact surface of the disk and the head, no flapping of the disk is generated.
