PURPOSE:To exactly supply a replenishing development soln. to attain correct development by measuring the residual amt. of a photosensitive layer and adding a replenishing development soln. when deterioration of the developing soln. reaches a predetermined degree of deterioration. CONSTITUTION:A light reflection sensor 17 for measuring a residual amt. of a photosensitive layer is arranged at the position at which the light receiving face on a photosensitive plate comes and the part of the plate irradiated with a standard exposure amt. of actinic rays passes. When the output voltage of a reflected light indicates 13 on the scale of sensitivity, a replenishing device 14 is set so as to automatically supply 1.5l of the replenishing soln. When 21l of a developing soln. is fed and the plates are processed, the output voltage of the sensor 17 indicates the scale 9. When the plates are processed successively, and 15 plates are processed, the sensor indicates the scale 13 to automatically actuate the device 14 to replenish 1.5l of the developing soln. When further, 16 plates are processed, the sensor 17 indicates the scale 9, and on processing 30 plates, it indicates 13 to supply the developing soln. As a result, the obtained printing plates have stable dot reproducibility during processing about 200 plates. |
