PURPOSE:To accurately and effectively discriminate a motor at starting and ordinarily rotating time by detecting a voltage applied to a coil terminal of the motor to discriminate the starting time and the ordinarily rotating time. CONSTITUTION:A voltage applied to a coil 9 is rectified by a diode 11 by removing a DC component by a capacitor 10. Then, its peak is held by a capacitor 12. The voltage of the capacitor 12 is compared by a comparator 14 with the level of the compared voltage 13, and output to an output terminal 5. 'High level' is output at the starting time and 'low level' is output at ordinarily rotating time to an output terminal 15. This output is used to operate to alter motor coil drive power source voltage at starting and ordinarily rotating time.
