PURPOSE:To provide the titled oven capable of effectively producing a circled stream of a gas and being easily constructed, by making the crosssection of a gasifying oven polygonal and providing a fuel nozzle which injects a fuel into a combustor so as to bring the fuel into contact with an imaginary circle thereof. CONSTITUTION:The body of a gasifying oven formed of a water-cooled wall 1 is accommodated in an autoclave 2. The formed gas is taken out of the top of the oven, while ash is discharged in a granulated slag form from an ash hopper 3. The gasifying oven comprises, in the following order from the bottom, a combustor 4, a diffuser 5, a reductor 6 and a heat exchanger 7. A fuel, recirculating char and a gasifying agent are fed from a nozzle 8 into the combustor 4 to form a high-temp. atmosphere. The produced ash flows down in a molten slag form into the ash hopper 3. The remaining fuel is fed from a nozzle 9 into the diffuser 5, and a gasifying reaction is conducted in the reductor 6.
