The present invention relates to a changing device for automatic replacement of modular cutting units in CNC machine tools. The cutting units are guided into or out of the machine tool's work zone in a loading attachment by means of a gripping fork. The invention is characterised by the device comprising a magazine like a loading pallet and several linear-shaped holders in the magazine at a set distance from one another. Each holder is provided with mechanisms for locating and holding in place several cutting units arranged in a row. The magazine is mounted on an incremental feed device in order to advance a specific holder to the changing position. A lifting device can raise the holder in the changing position from the magazine to a precisely located position above the other holders, where the cutting units can be reached by the gripping fork of the loading attachment. |
