<p>PURPOSE:To suppress the speed of a high speed roll within the current limit value and to execute stable different circumferential speed rolling by monitoring the armature currents of electric motors for driving upper and lower rolls, calculating a speed correction factor and correcting the speeds of the upper and lower rolling rolls. CONSTITUTION:Current limit detecting circuits 21, 22 monitor the armature currents of the motors for driving the upper and lower rolls from upper/lower roll speed limiters 5, 6 and detects that the currents attain approximately the current limit values. An arithmetic circuit 23 for a speed correction factor multiplies the speed by the speed correction factor set by a setting circuit 24 for the speed correction factor and calculates the final speed correction factor every time when the upper or lower rolls arrives approximately at the current limit by the current limit detection signals from the circuits 21, 22. The set different circumferential speed is changed in the above-mentioned manner and the continuation of the different circumferential speed rolling is made possible.</p> |
