PURPOSE:To easily reduce environmental pollution by processing a silver halide color photographic sensitive material comprising a core-shell type emulsion contg. silver iodide in a specified amt. or more, and a specified magenta coupler with a color developing soln. contg. bromide. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide color photographic sensitive material contains A) a core-shell type emulsion contg. >=3mol% silver iodide; B) a magenta coupler represented by formula I in which Ar is phenyl; Y is a group to be released upon dye formation due to the coupling reaction with the oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent; X is halogen, alkoxy, or alkyl; R is a substituent; and n is 1 or 2. This photosensitive material is color developed by using a color developing replenishing soln. contg. bromide in an amt. of 3.0X10<-3>mol/l and <=9ml of the replenishing soln. per 100cm<2> of the photosensitive material, thus permitting fluctuation of development processing to be controlled and an amt. of replenishing soln. to be reduced, and accordingly, environmental pollution to be reduced easily and at low cost. |
