PURPOSE:To enable the detection of the access of even an object with an irregular shape, by fixing one end of a plurality of mobile contacts on a common metal bar while the other end thereof is fixed on a fixed electrode arranged by being insulated from a contact electrode by being bent so as to cover the half of the tip thereof. CONSTITUTION:One end of a mobile contact 2 comprising an elastic wire is fixed on a common metal bar 1 while the other end thereof is fixed on a fixed electrode X by being bent so as to cover the half of the tip thereof. The fixed electrode 4 is connected to contact electrode 3 through an insulator 5. As the metal bar 1 hits an approaching object to press the elastic wire 2, it is bent to contact the contact electrode 3 to form a current path between leads 6 and 6', thereby enabling the detection of the object. The object 9 to be detected can be detected before it touches a bumper 10 of an automobile 8 by mounting a proper proximity sensor 7 on the bumper 10, and thus an automobile can be stopped at a point approaching a construction or the like up to several centimeter.
