PURPOSE:To reduce the thermal resistance of fin and obtain the heat exchanger, compact and having high performance, by a method wherein one row of heat transfer tube is constituted of three pieces or more of the heat transfer tubes arranged in the direction of airflow so as to be non-linear and a plurality of rows of heat transfer tubes are arranged in a direction intersecting with the direction of the airflow while cut-ups are provided on the fin located between the rows of the heat transfer tubes and the heat transfer tubes in respective rows are arranged so that respective tubes are superposed partially with the plane of projection of the heat transfer tube at the upstream side thereof. CONSTITUTION:Copper tubes 9b, 9c are arranged so that they are superposed with the plane of projection 14, shown by slant lines,of the copper tube 9a arranged at the upstream side of the airflow 13 by the half of the planes of projection thereof.The rear stream of the copper tube 9a flows so as to entered the plane of projection 14 by the effect of the copper tubes 9b, 9c, therefore, dead water area is reduced remarkably. Cut-ups 12 are provided so as to surround the copper tubes 9a, 9b, 9c and the legs thereof, which are connected to the fin 11, are provided so as to be slanted with respect to the direction of the airflow 13. Accordingly, the legs guide the flow of air into the group of the copper tubes 9 and whereby the dead water area may be reduced. Furthermore, the legs are arranged so as to enter the rear flow of the copper tubes 9a, 9b, therefore, uniform airflow speed may be obtained.
