PURPOSE:To obtain an ingot having a sound and smooth surface and to increase the yield in case of producing a high-purity alloy plate material for a target material or the like by making alloy the ingot in a mold for the ceramic casting which is preheated at the prescribed temp. and thereafter thermally processing it. CONSTITUTION:In case of casting the purified alloy consisting of either one kind of Ni-Fe and Co-Cr, one more kinds selected from among Mo, V, W and Nb and the balance <=0.1% impurities, it is poured in a mold for the ceramic casting which is preheated at 300-950 deg.C to make an ingot and thereafter it is thermally worked. Still more as the ceramic mold, a mold manufactured by a lost wax precision casting process is desirably used. By such a way, both the crack generation in a period of the solidification of the high-purity alloy and the decrease of the purity of alloy are prevented and the flaw removal of the surface of the ingot is unnecessitated and the thermal processing is enhanced and the alloy can be efficiently produced.
