PURPOSE:To prevent the reduction of room temperature even during defrosting operation by a method wherein B-contact, interrupting the conduction of a four-way valve coil by an auxiliary heater relay, and A-contact, conducting the auxiliary heater, are provided in the circuit. CONSTITUTION:When the contact piece 63 of a defrost timer 62 is switched to G-I and the auxiliary relay 64 is excited upon switching to the degrosting operation during room heating operation, one terminal of the auxiliary heater relay 57 is connected to an electric source 42 through respective heater relay 57 is connected to an electric source 42 through respective A-contacts and the auxiliary heater relay is excited. According to this excitation, the B-contact 68 is opened, the excitation of the four-way valve coil 71 is released and the defrosting operation is started while the A-contact 66 is closed. In this case, the auxiliary heater 48 is connected to the electric source 42 and the auxiliary heater 48 is connected to the electric source 42 and the auxiliary heater 48 is conducted during the defrosting operation even when an operating switch 43 is connected to a middle and a weak notches except the strong and middle notches for conducting the heater in the room heating side contacts of an operating switch 43.
