PURPOSE:To manufacture a linear material for a molding frame of high precision with a minimum stage and at a high efficiency by forming a blank material of a short length to a circular or a long circular form and after welding an end or forming a material of a long length to a spiral form and after restraining a free end including a loop part, press-molding to a prescribed form. CONSTITUTION:A blank material of a fixed length is molded to either a circular or a long circular form 1 with the ends being welded. Then, it is press-molded to a prescribed form. Otherwise, a material of a long length is molded to a spiral form 1 with the free ends being restrained including a loop part by a chuck 4. Thereafter, it is press-molded by a mold frame to a prescribed form, and either the chuck part 4 is separated to make an individual format, or the free ends are welded as required. In this manner, a linear material for a mold frame is manufactured with a minimum stage and at a high efficiency.
