PURPOSE:To prevent the melting of the surfaces of parts which are assembled into a heat exchanger by vacuum brazing even when the parts are put in a vacuum furnace to carry out vacuum brazing, by adding specified amounts of Si, Cu, Fe, Mg and Ni to Al to obtain a die casting Al alloy used as the material of the parts. CONSTITUTION:A die casting Al alloy for a heat exchanger is used as the material of parts which are assembled into a heat exchanger by vacuum brazing. The composition of the die casting Al alloy is composed of, by weight, 0.03-0.15% Si, <0.05% Cu, 0.2-0.9% Fe, <0.01% Mg, 2-2.5% Mn, <0.01% Ni and the balance Al with inevitable impurities.
