<p>A sheet stacking assembly comprises a sheet stacking tray (4) and a sensor housing constituted by two housing parts 1, 2. The sensor housing supports a sheet sensor comprising an LED 3 and phototransistor (not shown). The tray (4) and the sensor housing have cooperating portions 9, (14); 10, (15, 16) by which the sensor housing may be securely and accurately fixed to the stacking tray.
