PURPOSE:To constitute the titled manufacture so that track guard is formed favorably without having a lacking part in a signal, by a method wherein gas existing between a platelike member and mold surface is discharged prior to molding of an information signal recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A three-layer sheet member 8 is arranged on a bottom force 2 surface of a manufacturing device of an information signal recording medium provided with an exhaust mechanism and a top force 1 is made to descend. The three-layer sheet member 8 is pressed by the bottom and top forces 2, 1 while the same is being heated gradually as a second stage and air existing in a hollow part 1a of the top force 1 and a hollow part 2a of the bottom force 2 is discharged forcibly by actuating an air discharge device based on a vacuum pump in this stage. As for the information signal recording medium to be obtained like this, it can perform formation of a pit and track guard favorably, through which excellent device can be obtained at favorable manufacturing efficiency.
