PURPOSE:To obtain a toner scarcely scratching a photosensitive body, not causing deformation of a latent image even under high temp. and high humidity, being easy in cleaning operation, and stable in quality by using a specified polyalkylene. CONSTITUTION:The toner to be used for developing an electrostatic charge image formed in electrophotography contains a polyalkylene having a weight average mol.wt. (Mw) to a number average mol.wt. (Mn) ratio of 2.0-10.0, preferably, 5.0-8.0, and a kinetic friction coefft. of 0.15-0.65, preferably, 0.20-0.50. As the cleaning method when this toner is used, a blade cleaning method using a cleaner blade 8 in contact with the surface of the photosensitive body 1 is preferred, thus permitting offset of the toner to a heat fixing roller to be prevented, scratching of the photosensitive body 1 to be prevented by giving suitable kinetic friction coefft. to the toner, and attachment of low resistance materials and the toner 2 to the surface of the photosensitive body 1, and deformation of the latent image due to said attachment and poor cleaning to be both prevented by the grinding action of the toner itself in combination with the blade 8. |
