PURPOSE:To save data without degradation of the system performance by making read/write instructions to a memory executable during the period from the end of saving of a preceding data block to the start of saving of the next block. CONSTITUTION:When receiving a save instruction from software, a data save control circuit 3 divides stored data in a memory 2 into data blocks 1-n and saves them in a magnetic disc device 4 in order from the block 1. When saving of one data block is terminated, the device 4 starts the mechanical operation for the purpose of moving a head to the next cylinder. During this head moving period, the circuit 3 disconnects the device 4 to make it possible that read/write instructions to the memory 2 from software are executed. Thus, data is saved without degradation of the system performance. |
