PURPOSE:To produce continuously a composite material consisting of an electrically-conductive electrolytic polymer and an insulating plastic in the excellent workability by bringing a sheet-like insulating plastic into contact with an anode, feeding continuously it in an electrolytic soln. and performing the electrolytic polymerization. CONSTITUTION:In an electrolytic cell 2 housed with an electrolytic soln. 1 incorporating both an electrolytic polymerizable monomer such as pyrrole and an electrically-conductive salt contg. a cation or an anion, while bringing a sheet-like insulating plastic 4 such as PVC into contact with an anode 3 such as a rotating roll via the inlet and outlet guide rolls 8, 9, it is continuously fed in the above-mentioned soln. 1. Voltage is impressed between the above- mentioned anode 3 such as Ni and a cathode 7 such as Pt to perform the electrolytic polymerization and while depositing an electrolytic polymer on the above- mentioned plastic 4, it is continuously taken up with a take-up device 10.
