PURPOSE:To prevent the deposition of dust and generation of cracks on a recording layer and to simplify the disk manufacturing process by sticking 2 optical disk substrates to each other and the boring a central hole concentrically with a laser track. CONSTITUTION:An optical disk substrate 1 has a laser guide track 2 and a hole 3 at the central part. After 2 disk substrates are stuck to each other, the central hole 6 is bored concentrically with the laser guide track of each disk substrate in the depth half the thickness of the disk. A protective coat on the surface of a recording layer is thus eliminated, the protective coat material and protective coat device are dispensed with by sticking the recording layers with an adhesive with the layers on the inside of the optical disk and the production cost can be reduced. Since the central hole can be bored after the sticking of the 2 optical disk substrates, the deposition of dust and generation of cracks on the recording layer which have a great influence on the characteristic of the optical disk can be controlled, the quality of the optical disk can be improved and the yield of the magnetic disks can be increased.
