PURPOSE:To attain the accurate compensation of temperature with a large degree of freedom kept for design by fixing a head carriage put on a magnetic head to a head shift means via a control member. CONSTITUTION:A control member 13 is provided between a head carriage 2 and a shifter 8, and the member 13 is fixed onto the shifter 8 by a screw 14. Then the base end of the carriage 2 is fixed onto the member 13 by a screw 3. The member 13 can be attached to and detached from the shifter 8 via the screw 14 and also to/from the carriage 2 via the screw 3. Therefore, a designer can select optionally the material, the form and the size of the member 13. Thus it is possible to attain the compensation of temperature due to the position shifts of a magnetic head and a track.
