PURPOSE:To avoid continuous photographing of inferior pictures by abnormal shutter operations and abnormal exposure times by providing a detecting means which detects the shutter operation of a projecting optical system and monitoring the exposure time. CONSTITUTION:A photographing shutter device 3 has a 2-vane structure of open shutter plate 3C and close shutter plate 3D which are respectively driven by two solenoids 3A and 3B and is provided with photosensors 3E and 3F which act as detecting means and a control system which monitors the exposure time. The control system is composed of a CPU 30 equipped with two timers 31A and 31B which are actuated by a photographing signal 100 and output signals 101 and 102 of the photosensors 3E and 3F. The CPU 30 controls the driving circuit 32 of the solenoids 3A and 3B and at the same time, detects abnormal operations of the shutter plates 3C and 3D and errors in the exposure time and issues alarms 103 and 104.
