PURPOSE:To attain the complete maintenance of a numerical controller by displaying the items for maintenance on a CRT of the numerical controller. CONSTITUTION:A numerical controller 1 containing a CRT 2 is provided with a counter 3 which can counts dates, a memory 4 which stores the items for maintenance and the executing dates of these items and a control means 5 which displays the items for maintenance on the CRT 2 at the due time point of maintenance based on the storage contents of the memory 4 and the count value of the counter 3. Thus the items for maintenance are displayed at the due time points based on the storage contents of the memory 4 and the count value of the counter 3. This attains periodically the complete maintenance of a numerical controller.
