PURPOSE:To perform sterilization at high temp. securely and to eliminate fear for secondary contamination and to eliminate necessity for rinsing with water after sterilization by passing steam from the primary side to the secondary side of a semipermeable membrane of a filtration device. CONSTITUTION:When a filtration device 1 using a semipermeable membrane module 2 is sterilized with steam, the water in the primary and secondary side of the filtration device 1 is discharged by closing each automatic valve 20, 21, 30 in the feed water feeding pipe 5, feed water circulating pipe 7, and filtrate feeding pipe 6, and opening automatic valves 25 in a water draining pipe 14, valve 32 and an automatic valve 26 in the pipes 16, 17 communicating with a feed water discharging pipe 15, an air discharging valve 29 in a pipe 7, and automatic valves 27, 28 in steam discharging pipes 18, 19, and slightly opening a valve 33. Next, the automatic valve 29 is closed and an automatic valve 22 of a steam feeding pipe 8 is opened to feed steam to the filtration device 1 from an inlet A for steam, passing the steam from the primary side (feed water side) of the membrane to the secondary side (filtrate side), thus performing steam sterilization. |
