PURPOSE:To attain a general-purpose data transmission system with low cost by transmitting the synchronizing parallel data in a time division multiplex style after sampling them. CONSTITUTION:The parallel data signal PDA is sample at a data parallel/serial converting part 17 with the timing of a clock signal CLK. At the same time, the signal PDA is converted into a serial data signal SDA in a style added with a start bit SB by the signal STCL delivered from a transmission clock control part 19 with the timing of the signal SOSC delivered from a signal generator OSC. A transmission clock control part 37 produces the timing signals for conversion of data based on the reproduction transmission clock signal CLTR and the start bit SB and supplies the timing signal to a data serial/parallel converting part 39. Then the reproduction serial data signal SDAR is converted into the parallel data signal PDAR. This attains a general-purpose data multiplexing transmission system.
