PURPOSE:To suppress generated radiation noises and to prevent adverse influence from being exerted upon a host computer by using a magnetic body and a conductor for the fixed scale of a linear pulse motor and also grounding it. CONSTITUTION:The linear pulse motor is provided with the scale 1 and a slider 3 which runs on it by a guide roller 2. An optical unit 10 is fixed to the slider 3 through the guide roller 2 fitted to a fixed adapter 16. A magnetic and conductive fixed scale 1 is provided on the top surface of the slider 3 and this scale is grounded directly and fitted to the base 19 of a device body through scale fixing bases 18 made of insulators provided to both end parts. Consequently, radiation noises generates by the slider of the linear pulse motor are absorbed and reflected since the scale 1 is grounded and exert no influence upon the outside of the device.
