PURPOSE:To obtain a rotary head device suited to mass production with high accuracy, high performance and high assembling operability, by erecting fixedly a center fixed shaft which supports a structure holding a video head via a baring indirectly at the center of the bottom surface of a lower drum via a fixing member. CONSTITUTION:The lower part of a center shaft 1 is fixed with pressure at the center of a shaft fixing member 110 and the shaft 1 is fixed to the bottom surface of a lower drum 3 from outside by means of a screw 12. While an upper drum 2 is fixed to the upper end of the shaft 1 via a fixing bar 10. Then a video head mounting structure 7 holding a video head 8 at its outer circumferential part is revolved by a built-in motor. The rotary transforms are provided at the upper and lower parts of a rotary part. This rotary part contains the structure 7 holding the head 8 on a rotary structure 4 engaging the shaft 1 via bearings 5 and 5', a rotor motor (incl. a rotor magnet 18 and a rotor yoke 19), a plane rotary transformer 15 fixed via a transformer fixing bar 16 and a cylindrical rotary transformer 15' fixed at the lower part of the structure 7.
