<p>PURPOSE:To reproduce normally an image by a high definition television signal which has been brought to a band compression, by obtaining a reproducing output of only a field containing a frame pulse, in case of a special reproduction, and eliminating the frame pulse at every other field from this reproducing output. CONSTITUTION:A reproducing output of heads 34a, 34b is demodulated by a pre-amplifying/FM demodulating circuit 35, and inputted to a frame pulse detecting circuit 36 and a frame pulse eliminating circuit 37. The frame pulse detecting circuit 36 detects a frame pulse from an input signal, and inputs a frame pulse eliminating signal to the frame pulse eliminating circuit at every other field. When this eliminating signal is received, the frame pulse eliminating circuit 37 eliminates the frame pulse at every other field, organizes a reproducing MUSE signal, and applied it to a sub-sampling phase converting circuit 38. The sub-sampling phase converting circuit 38 replaces a sub-sampling phase code of the input signal. In this way, even at the time of a special reproduction, an image by a high definition television signal which has been brought to a band compression can be reproduced normally.</p> |
