PURPOSE:To attain the easy-to-understand display and print of graphs with high operability by performing a graph producing operation with reference to a conversion table of unit symbols together with discrimination between the numerical values and the unit symbols when the analysis and operation of the numerical data are carried out. CONSTITUTION:The type of a graph, the presence or absence of charts, the title display, etc. are analyzed for decision of an overall layout of a graph. Then the actual size of an area is decided for development of a bar graph, etc. after excluding the areas used for titles and charts out of a graph area. Furthermore, the lowest unit is obtained as a standard unit among the numerical data for conversion. Then the conversion processing is carried out with reference to a conversion table and according to the obtained lowest unit. Based on the numerical value, the length of a bar is obtained for a bar graph, for example. Then an operation is performed every dot for an actual display screen or print. Thus it is possible to supply display and print the numerical data in an easy-to- understand form. This attains the production of graphs with high input operability and high display and print functions. |
