ANTIFOULING GELATINOUS COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition for the coating of ships, etc., capable of keeping the effect to inhibit the adhesion of aquatic life without polluting water with toxic component and composed of a W/O-type emulsion having a specific composition composed of an aqueous disperse phase and a dispersion medium comprising a high-boiling oily substance containing dissolved rubber component. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be produced from a W/O-type emulsion obtained by mixing (A) 15-95wt% dispersion medium comprising a high-boiling oily substance and obtained by dissolving a rubber component in a high-boiling oily substance and (B) an emulsifier and water to attain an aqueous disperse phase content of 85-5wt%.
