PURPOSE:To simultaneously remove burrs from both side end edges of each gear with a cutter engaging with each gear, by rotatably supporting a gear to be cut, having a plurality of different type gears, to tailstock spindles. CONSTITUTION:A gear to be cut 37 is rotatably supported to tailstock spindles 5, 6. If the first cutter 27 is rotated, rotary moment is transmitted to a large contour helical gear 37a through a fixed blade 27b and a movable blade 27a, and a gear 37 is rotated. Rotary moment of a small contour helical gear 37b is transmitted to the second cutter 28 through a fixed blade 28b and a movable blade 28a. In this way, a machine, rotating the first cutter 27 and the second cutter 28 in a condition that the both cutters engage with the large contour helical gear 37a and the fixed blade 27b, simultaneously performs frazing work for each gear 37a, 37b. |
