A lifting device including a hook (2) and a catch (3) that is designed to close the hook's opening (4) in a first position in order to thereby prevent unintended release of a coupling held in the hook (2), and to release the hook opening (4) in a second position. A moveable component (6) works together with a stop (7) to hold the catch (3) in its closed position. The catch (3) can move from its closed to its release position by means of an actuator (9) with the help of the coupling. The lifting device (1) features a time delay (17) so that the movable component's (6) function with the stop (7) ceases after a pre-determined timeframe after the coupling has been brought against the actuator (9) in order to bring the catch (3) to its release position.<IMAGE> |
