PURPOSE:To improve adhesive strength by leaving at one end of a belt body a layer of covering rubber glued with heat-and-wear-resistant material strip in a shape suited for splicing surface of the other end, and by vulcanizing these ends. CONSTITUTION:Step-shaped, slanted adhesion surfaces are formed by stripping off with a specified angle against belt 1 width direction each canvass layer 4 constituting a belt core. On the other end surface, a piece of covering rubber 3 in a shape suited for a covering rubber 2 and glued with a heat-and-wear- resistant material strip 5 is left. Each canvas layer 4 is further stripped off to form step-shaped, slanted adhesion surfaces. Unvulcanized covering rubber pieces 2' and 3' are inserted and then both ends are vulcanized into one body. With such a constitution, adhesive strength is improved. |
