<p>PURPOSE:To enable a device of a small size to be employed so as to cost less by incorporating a non-contact sensor for detecting an input torque, a printed circuit base board, and a signal output part in a space which is formed around the end of an input-output shaft of a steering gear body. CONSTITUTION:An input-output shaft 2 connected to a steering handle is connected with a pinion shaft 3 connected to a steering wheel by means of a torsion bar 4 where they can be rotated relatively within the range of the specified angle. The rotating force of an electric motor 10 is provided to the end of the pinion shaft 3 opposite to an input shaft 1 as an auxiliary steering force through a reduction gear mechanism 11. And following components are incorporated in a space around the input-output shaft 2 and 3 of a steering gear body 6: they are non-contact sensors 20 and 21 for detecting an input torque, a printed circuit base board arranged on the input-output shaft 2, and a signal output part which is composed of slip rings 26a through 26c, and sliders 27a through 27c.</p> |
