Procedure for producing sheet metal roofing, which in a first area has a section that is perpendicular to the main face of the sheet and has a waved shape, preferably sinusoidal, and in a second area, which is perpendicular to both the main face of the sheet and the first-named area, has a step-shaped section, where the sheet is first formed to said waved sections and thereafter equipped with step-shaped notches through a bending procedure through use of a first (31, 32) and a second (37, 38) tool pair, where the tool faces (41-44) of each pair face each other and are designed to work with the sheet and have the same form as the waved section of a pre-shaped sheet, and where the surfaces (45, 46; 47, 48) of each tool pair, which faces the opposing tool pair, is formed with an inverse curve to that of said tool surfaces (41-44), or in principle an inverse curvature, where upon formation of said notch, the sheet is held by the first (31, 32) tool pair between said tool surfaces (41, 42). With this invention, the sheet is also held in the second tool pair (37, 38) between its tool surfaces (43, 44), which during maintained retention of the sheet are brought to shift relative to the first tool pair (31, 32) in a first direction (50) perpendicular to the sheet's face, a distance corresponding to the step-shaped notch's height, at the same time as the parts (51, 52) of the second tool pair (37, 38), which remain set against the sheet, are brought to meet the first tool pair in a second direction (53) perpendicular to said first direction (50), while the sheet pinned between the first tool pair (31, 32) and said parts (51, 52) of the second tool pair (37, 38) is successively formed to the step-shaped notch. Thereafter the sheet is fed forward a predetermined distance for the formation of any further step-shaped notches and so on.A device for the execution of this method is also presented.<IMAGE> |
