摘要 PURPOSE:To enable to adjust the flow passage resistance of a double-screw extruder by a simple structure wherein a traversing screen is provided in the midway of the screws of the double-screw extruder and the respective screws pierce through the screen so as to make a close fit between the piercing part of each screw and the screen and, in addition, resin flow passages, the opening of which is adjustable from the outside are bored in the screen. CONSTITUTION:Resin is sent from screw 1a and 2a sides to screw 1c and 2c sides as indicated with the arrow. Screws 1b and 2b, which pierce through a screen 4 provided across the screws, have circular cross sections with the outside diameters as small as possible and are set so as to make the gap (delta) between the screw and the screen on the leakage of resin through the gap small by closely fitting to the screen 4. Valve stems 6 to adjust the size of the opening of resin passages 5 bored in the screen 4 are inserted vertically movably in the resin passages 5. The flow passage resistance is adjusted by opening and closing the passages 5 through the vertical movement of the valve stems 6 with hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders 7.
