PURPOSE:To enable highly accurate positioning by providing a two-dimensional camera, a synchronizing separator circuit, a comparator, a counter, a real number divider and a processing display section etc. CONSTITUTION:A two-dimensional camera 1, a processing display section 3, a synchronizing separator circuit 5, a D/A convertor 7, a comparator 9, a mask generator circuit 11, a picture element address counter 14, a scanning line counter 15, a cumulative picture element counter 16, a cumulative picture element address counter 17, a cumulative scanning counter 18 and a real number divider 20 etc. are provided. Video signals sent on a signal line from the circuit 5 are applied to an input terminal of a comparator 9, and reference level sent on a signal line 8 from the convertor 7 is applied to another input terminal of the comparator 9, and the two signals are compared and sent on a signal line 10. Logical sum of the signal sent on a signal line 12 from the circuit 11 and the signal on the signal line 10 is generated by an OR gate 130 and sent out on a signal line 13. Counters 14, 15 are operated by signals from the circuit 5, and output is added cumulativelly to counters 17, 18. The content of counters 16-18 is taken in the divider 20.
