The invention relates to a mechanism for paying out the line from a fishing reel. This mechanism comprises a device that is used for paying out the line and which consists of two parts 20a,20b. These parts can normally be connected in the front and the back with the aid of a crank via a transmission-driven slide 19 but can be disconnected from the slide and reconnected to it by turning the slide round in one or the other direction on a guide 21. The invention is characterized in that the slide can be turned over in the direction for disengagement from the device paying out the line, with the aid of a slide guide, by turning the latter round with the aid of a manipulating part that is also mounted for disengaging the line spool when casting, so that the mechanisms for paying out the line and the line spool are disconnected in one and the same disengagement operation. The reconnection of the line spool and the mechanism for paying out the line is done automatically when the crank is turned so as to reel the line in. <IMAGE> |
