PURPOSE:To facilitate the resetting of a necessary functional condition and to make it possible to certainly hold then content of the functional condition once set and to omit a relatively expensive dip switch, by providing a memory means for holding the data of a set functional condition and a battery for supporting said memory means. CONSTITUTION:A mode change-over switch 1f for setting a function setting mode for alteration is provided so as to enable the alteration of the functional conditions allotted to switches 1a-1e for controlling a printer. When an ON/ OFF line switch 1a is pushed down, a function item is transferred to the setting of the next form feed (FF) quantity and LED for indicating a FF function item is lighted. In the same way, the selection of the function item and the setting of the functional condition in said item are performed. This function setting mode is finished by again pushing down the mode change-over switch 1f and returned to a printer control mode. The set functional conditions are stored in RAM 9 and, when a printer power source is cut off, RAM 9 is supported by a support battery 10 and, therefore, the functional conditions once set are certainly held. |
