PURPOSE:To prevent damage on the content of recording in a floppy disc from occurring by so constituting the titled drive system that a non-track-transfer instruction inputted in a post erase is executed after the post erase ends. CONSTITUTION:During the post erase and when the outputs (a) and (b) of a recording and reproducing control circuit 2 are H, a carriage transfer control circuit 3 outputs a positive pulse C against the one-track-transfer instruction from a floppy disc drive control device 1, while a NAND circuit 4 outputs a negative pulse and a D-type flip-flop (FF) is set whose Q-output becomes H to select an AND circuit 7 and the output (f) from a delay circuit A6 is inputted to a delay circuit B10. When the carriage-transfer instruction is finished, an alligning timer -9 resets the D-type FF, whose the inverseof Q becomes H and an AND circuit 8 is selected. The output of an OR circuit 11 drives a step motor 14 through a step-motor-exciting phase-generating circuit 12 and a driver 13. The one-track-transfer instruction issued during the post erase is delayed by the delay circuit B10.
