PURPOSE:To contrive to improve the combustion performance by forming a structure wherein the cross-sectional form of each cross pin is made to be nearly circular elongated or streamlined in the vertical direction with respect to an inner flame tube and an outer flame tube, and the shape of each cross pin hole provided in the inner and the outer flame tubes is made in a manner that each cross pin passing through the cross pin holes is vertically slidable by a predetermined distance. CONSTITUTION:The stream of unburnt gas is hindered by cross pins 4. However, because the cross-sectional form of each cross pin 4 is made to elongated circular and the direction of the major axis of the elongated circle is directed to be vertical with respect to an inner flame tube 1 and an outer flame tube 2, the stream of the unburnt gas flows smoothly along the cross pin 4 and few vortex develops in the stream of the unburnt gas above the cross pin 4 and accordingly no stagnation of the unburnt gas occurs. In addition, because the width of the cross pin 4 is narrow and consequently the clearance between each cross pin hole 5 and the cross pin 4 becomes small, the air flow rate flowing in through said clearance becomes small. Accordingly, no flame holding occurs at the cross pin hole 5 and no interference with the flame holding by combustion holes 12 provided at the upper periphery of the tubes 1 and 2 develops and the stable flame holding is realized.
