PURPOSE:To make it possible to smoothly carry out supply of humidifying water by inserting a hydrophilic sheet between hydrophobic high molecular porous sheets and hermetically sealing the peripheral edges thereof. CONSTITUTION:A hydrophilic sheet 6 is pinched between two hydrophobic porous sheets which are mutually superposed on each other, and peripheral edges 7 of the sheets 1 and 6 are bonded unitarily by fusion and the like and a humidifying water flow passage 8 is formed by two porous sheets 1 and the hydrophilic sheet 6. Further, an angle of contact between the porous sheet 1 and humidifying water is abtuse and an angle of contact between the hydrophilic sheet 6 and humidifying water is acute. When the element is used as a humidifying unit, a corrugated separator 9 is interposed between the sheets to form a humidified air passage 10. In this state, the humidifying element is wound to constitute a humidifier unit. By these procedures, since the water feed pressure can be reduced, the humidifying element having a wide range of practical use is obtained.
