摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform high speed recording and image recording imparting uniform density and high grade, by correcting the driving time and driving power of the heat generating element of a recording head on the basis of the product of the number of recording dots of one row in a sub-scanning direction and a plurality of weighing coefficients set in connection with the ordinal of the row in one section among sections formed by dividing one line at every predetermined number of the aforementioned rows. CONSTITUTION:A longitudinal direction weighing part 103 holds a plurality of weighing coefficients set in connection with the magnitude of the number of recording dots and the product of the inputted number of recording dots and the weighing coefficients corresponding thereto to be outputted to a lateral direction weighing part 105. A number-of-row count part 104 counts which row in one section among sections formed by dividing one line at every predetermined number of recording rows corresponds to the recording rows counted along with the counting of a number-of-dot count part 102 to output the same to the lateral direction weighing part 105. The weighing part 105 holds a plurality of weighing coefficients set in connection with the ordinal of the aforementioned row to calculate the product of the product inputted from the weighing part 103 and the weighing coefficient of said product corresponding to the ordinal of the recording row to output the same to a data integration part 106.
