PURPOSE:To remove necessity for carrying a machine when paying the postage charge by executing the processing as to the postage charge by means of a card on both parts of the post office and the customer. CONSTITUTION:The card offered by a customer is inserted in the card insertion part of the host processor and the amount of the advance deposite is inputted to an amount input part 5a. The recording of the amount to be paid, its display and the printing and issuing of a receipt are executed by operating a start key 5c. The processor, in parallel with the writing in the card, outputs the data of the user's code and the amount of advance deposite to a summing device 26 through a read control circuit 2c and an output control circuit 2b. And the said device 26 makes use of the data in summing the amount of the postage charge to be paid. In such way, by one time operation by the officer at the time of paying, the clerical services of such as receipt issuance and summing are conducted, therefore the service is rationalized. |
