STEP-UP TYPE MAGNETIC HEAD

PURPOSE:To obtain a step-up type magnetic head having high transmission efficiency by forming a head signal winding part including a head magnetic circuit part and a transformer primary circuit by the thin film forming process and also applying a balance winding method to a transformer secondary winding. CONSTITUTION:A head part consists of head upper and lower magnetic sub stances 13 and 10 and a 1-turn coil 12. A transformer part includes a trans former magnetic circuit consisting of a bulkferromagnetic block 17, an intermedi ate magnetic layer 14 and a transformer lower magnetic substance 11 and the coil 12 and a secondary coil 19 of plural turns having interlinkage to said transformer magnetic circuit. Both a head magnetic circuit and a 1-turn winding part can be formed into a minimum necessary form respectively by the thin film forming process. Thus the 1-turn inductance of a head and the DC resis tance of the 1-turn part can be minimized. Furthermore the coupling efficiency is improved between both transformer primary and secondary windings since the secondary winding is formed into a balance winding at a position close to the primary winding.
