PURPOSE:To prevent the deposition of a coupler and to enhance the stability of a liquid dispersion by forming on a support a silver halide emulsion contg. a magenta coupler represented by a specified general formula and a coupler stabilizer. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide photographic sensitive material is formed by forming on the support a silver halide emulsion contg. the magenta coupler represented by formula I and the coupler stabilizer preferably represented by formula II and in formulae I and II, Z is a nonmetallic atomic group necessary to form an N-contg. optionally substd. hetero ring; X is H or a substituent to be released by the coupling reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent; R is H or a substituent; R1, R2 are each H, alkyl, or aryl; and R3 is alkyl, aryl, or alkenyl. |
