NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I (n is 0-2; R1 is organic groups of straight chain of 5-25C carbon atoms; R2 is formula II-IV, methyl; R3 is lower alkyl ester, -CH2OH, aldehyde). EXAMPLE:Oleoyl-Leu-Pro-CH2OH. USE:Proline endopeptidase inhibitor, especially it is used as an antiamnestic agent. PREPARATION:A carboxylic acid of the formula: R1-COOH, a carboxylic anhydride of formula V or a carboxylic chloride of formula VI is allowed to react with a peptide containing proline residue of which carboxyl group is esterified with a lower alkyl or proline hydrochloride whose carboxyl group is esterified with a lower alkyl to give a compound of formula I where R3 is lower alkyl ester.
