The title compds were prepd. by the reaction of acrylamide with alkylglyoxylate or alkylglyoxylate hemiacetal in the presence of polymerization inhibiter at 50 -90 ≦̸C. Thus, 96.3 parts methylglyoxylate hemiacetal was reacted with 1000 ppm methyl ether of hydroquinone and 50 ppm ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid and then added with 56.8 parts acrylamide at 16≦̸C to give methylacryl amidoglycolate. |
