An olefin polymerization catalyst comprises a titanium component, an organoaluminium compd. and a substd. methylene diamine. The Ti component contains Ti, Mg, halogen and an electron donor. The electron donor is an ester. The organoaluminium compod. has the formula QmAl(OQ')nHpXq [Q,Q = hydrocarbon, m+n+q+p=3, X=halogen! or M'AlQ4 [M'=Li, Na, K!. The Ti component is present at 0.0001-1 mM Ti/liter. The Al/Ti ratio in the catalyst is 1-2000:1. The molar ratio of substd ethylene diamine to organo aluminium compd. is 0.001 - 10 : 1. Polymerization is performed at 20 - 200≦̸C, 1 atm-100kg/cm2.
