PURPOSE:To prevent surely toner from remaining below a blade edge by providing a means which displaces a cleaning blade above in the running direction of an image carrier while pressing the cleaning blade to the image carrier. CONSTITUTION:A supporting member 5 is arranged freely shakably in a cleaning device enclosure 2. A cleaning blade 3 is attached to this supporting member 5. The cleaning blade 3 is pressed to the surface of an image carrier 1 with a prescribed pressure. When a cleaning device is taken out, the supporting member 5 is turned to displace the toner accumulation near the blade edge above in the running direction of the image carrier 1, and the toner accumulation is dropped into the cleaning device. |
