PURPOSE:To obtain a laminate improved in flame retardancy, tracking resistance, electrical insulation property, punching quality, impact strength and dimensional stability, by laminate-molding impregnated paper obtained by impregnation with a resin after the primary impregnation with a specified cocondensate. CONSTITUTION:A laminate comprising resin-impregnated paper formed by the primary impregnation with a first resin and the impregnation with a second resin, wherein a cocondensate of melamine, an aldehyde compound, a phenol compound and an alkylalcohol is used as said first resin. A 1-5C alcohol is suitable as the alcohol used for alkylation, and an alcohol of a larger carbon number is not preferably because of its solubility. A preferable range of a degree of alkylation by the alkylalcohol is 3-20% when a 1-3C alcohol is used and 3-15% when a 4-5C alcohol is used.
